And five years later…

Posted by

Guess what came in the mail today from my editor? Yes, that is a massive, hardback copy of Stray. Five years and one month after the original US release. Which is awesome. The bad news? I can’t read it. It’s in Hungarian! I now have seven gorgeous copies of this hardback version, but I don’t have room for them and I can’t read them. I will probably be donating the other six to libraries looking for foreign print donations. Let me know if you know of one.

I’m not sure whether or not you can tell from the image above, but the cover art is actually printed on the cover itself, all the way around, beneath the book jacket.

And, as you can see, I also got several more copies of Before I Wake. Those I can read. ;)

Ooh! Hardcover of Stray? Well I would have love a Hardcover copy except I can’t read hungarian :(
Your Poor Shifters Mass Paperback series is at the end of its seam . . . I am highly considering buying a new ones. The only books of yours that I have that are falling at its seam are IF I DIE and Before I Wake because they haven’t been read like four time . . . YET. Along with signed copies 1-5 of Soul Screamers, Plus 3 UK editions Book 3-5. Oh and the Volume one book, that is still intact LOL

Yay! I am so happy to see it Rachel! I live in Budapest and when I went to the Budapest International Book Fair a couple of months ago and spied a hidden copy of Stray at the publisher’s desk I started praising it to the ladies manning the booth and a couple bystanders heard my effusive gushing and after they came over to check it out, 4 copies of Stray found new homes :-D After such a successful promo (and a very persuasive argument from me) the booth ladies decided to put Stray on a more prominent place in their booth, so I’m sure many other Hungarian readers discovered you over taht weekend. Lovely to see the Hungarian hardback edition, I just hope the translation is good! :-)

(ps. if you would like me to see if any local Hungarian libraries would like donation copies of Stray let me know, I could check)

Wow, thank you! And I do plan to donate most of the books to libraries, but because the hardbacks are so heavy and shipping is so high, I’ll be donating them to US libraries looking for foreign language donations. Let me know if you know of any of those! ;)

The hardback edition looks beautiful, and I like the fact that the cover is printed on the cover itself :)

I would love a copy, too, but I, too, cannot read Hungarian. :(. Does one sign up for this new blog or do I just bookmark it and come back every week (or everyday).

It’s amazing that so much can happen in just a few years, especially if you work as hard as you have done.
